Nifty and Sixty
Sometimes I miss my old grandfather,
For he was always there to bother.
He’d walk with me ’til he was pooped
And talk with me – out on the stoop.
There was nothing he didn’t know -
A book of knowledge from head to toe.
He was sometimes stern and sometimes funny,
But he always got me feeling sunny.
If ever a grandchild climbs on my knee,
I hope I’m the grandpa he’d like me to be.
Thanks for sending details. Hope I will get a chance to be published in your works.
